I was thinking of sending her a couple of Connecting Threads small kits. Do you have an address so we can send direct? Do you know what colors/designs she likes??

    Hi Joyce,

    Here it is:

    Cathy Smith
    732 Vally View Dr Apt#6
    Council Bluffs, IA 51503

She likes earthy tones, jewel tones and fall colors.

A combined package from a friend and I went out to Cathy today. There were 3 turnover sets, 1 jelly roll, 1 minkie set of blocks, 2 or 3 other 5 in block sets, rotary blades, a 4in + a 6.5 in square, permanent marking pen, pins, threads, Fons & Porter directional pin sets, a couple of fat halves, some free fabric patterns, 2 books and some older magazines and I know I forgot to list some items - but the main hope is it will help cheer her up as well as give her some more fun things to have to get back to quilting.

On the other thread she mentioned that Adrian really misses his toys, so I'm sending him (only his name on the package!) some little Transformers. Figured the smaller ones would be best since they are moving to an apartment. So often we forget that the kids have the same trauma to deal with as the adults and they are much less 'prepared' to do so.

Oh = now I feel badly. For some reason I assumed Adrian was a teen.....please don't ask why...because I am dense I guess. I could have put something in for him before I shipped.

Has anyone heard how Cathy is doing? I bet that adjustment period isn't easy. SOunds like they have a strong family bond though and that should help.
