Just curious...how did you come up with your board name?

How did you end up in Rapid? My DS and DDL and DGS live there.

Mine is named from the smell of the ocean, which I always love to smell. When we travel to the coast I have the window down and am always so excited when I get that first sniff of the sea air...so I go to the Sea to breathe. After my husband retired from the Navy he entered Ft. Wayne IN Seminary and 4 yrs later was given a "call" to Centerville and Hurley, SD as pastor of 2 churches. His 25 yrs in the ministry was all in South Dakota. After 9 years he took a call to become assistant pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Rapid City, after 8 yrs he took a call to a newly formed congregation, Our Redeemer Lutheran, then last August he was forced into retirement by his health. He had his third open heart by pass surgery this past November. And I am afraid we will never get to the ocean again. He grew up in Tacoma, WA joined the Navy got transferred to VA Beach, VA and there I was. My Dad lives in FL and my DH sister, brother and aunt live in Seaside , Or. We are right in the middle. Where does your daughter live in Rapid. We live across from South Middle School., near the hospital

They own a home in Rapid Valley but they moved over the July 4th weekend to a new home. They were married in a Lutheran church near downtown Rapid but I cannot remember the name of it. My DGS was born last September in the hospital you mentioned so I am pretty familiar with that area of town. Rapid seems like a great place to raise a family. Thanks to you and your husband for your service to others.

They may have been married either at Zion or Trinity. Rapid is a really nice place to raise a family. I just wish we were closer to my family. I have 3 sisters living in NC, TX and FL. and would really like to live closer to them. But we will see. Rapid Valley is really growing just like Rapid City. We even are getting a second Wal mart. It is an easy town to get around in., Maybe we can meet one of these days. That would be fun. Jackie Adams
