I was laying there just a few minutes ago knowing I had to get up but just enjoying being still for a few more minutes. Then my 14yo dd comes running in saying that there is a man out there sitting on the back of our truck. She said she thinks it looks like one of her dad's friend (who doesn't live around here anymore). I grab on some clothes and look out the window....don't recognize the car out there. I get to the door and tell her to let the dog out after me in a minute if everything is not ok. Probably not the smartest thing I've ever done...lol! It was dh's friend though thank goodness. Just sitting out there on the back of the truck. I told him that was a good way to get shot...he said that's why he was out there on the truck! He thought that he might stand a chance of keeping away from the dog if he was at the truck. So we talked a few minutes and I gave him dh's cell.....again. Doubt we'll hear from him though for a few months when he'll turn up again.....

I would have taken my dog out with me, just on "heel" and no leash. You have to be careful these days.

once I opened the door I knew who he was and he is perfectly safe, a little flakey but safe.....and the dog...well he's about 125lbs and is a great pyrenees. So he is a big guy and has a bark that scares most people.
