Don't you just hate it when your favorite grocery store decides to remodel? When I go to shop I want to know where everything is so I can get in and out quick! I think they do that on purpose just to watch us wander around confused :x

Hate it, hate it, hate it! Local grocery store did just that. They provided hand-outs on where everything was but a lot of stuff wasn't on there. I pick a store more for convenience than I do stock. Errrrr!!!

I know what you mean. Lubbock has gone "wet" and our grocery store remodeled to accomodate the wine/beer aisle. I can't find anything when I'm in there. Seems like they have to tweak it pretty often, so it's always new day, new deal. Glad I'm retired and don't have to shop in a hurry.

Of course they do it on purpose. Customers get used to where things are and don't really look at every thing after a while. When they rearrange it forces you to actually look at every thing so you find new things to buy. Most stores rearrange about every 3 years or so.

We gets lots of our stuff at the tiny IGA,(town population is only 2,000) I really think that since I can't afford to remodel, neither can they. All remains the same and it seems we are all happy with each other. (plus, they have the BEST sales on meat 2X a year)Walmart, can't touch this!!!

You are lucky you still have IGA. We lost all of ours about two years ago.

they do that so you can't get in and out without maybe getting a little something extra on a isle that you might not have otherwise went down.

Yup. It's a sales gimmick. So you go down some aisles 2x. Or more.

It's smart marketing. If you only look at what you need, you don't impulse buy all the other stuff. Just like when they always change around the end caps. Suppliers pay top dollar for that real estate.
