    Cool Stay safe this Christmas…

With the Holidays upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my friends about drinking and driving.

As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out with friends. Well two days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had several cocktails followed by some rather nice red wine.

Feeling jolly I still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit.

That's when I did something that I've never done before - I took a cab home.

Sure enough on the way home there was a police roadblock but since it was a cab they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.

This was a real surprise, as I had never driven a cab before, I don't know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.

    Oohhh....you're bad!

Great reminder, though. Even "buzzed" driving is too drunk to drive. (I know, I was an EMT for years and had to "clean" up many a DUI accident, often with fatal consequences).

Thanks for the remainder to "stay safe"! Blessings to you and yours this holiday season.

Good one! Also a good reminder to have a designated driver this season.

That's so cute! Designate a driver. Usually there's at least one person in the group who doesn't drink alcohol anyways!

That is funny. I won't get in a car with anyone who has had even one drink. Why risk it?

I had to read it twice ..........LOL

    And I am sober.

My parents made us sign a pact...........no drinking and driving..........that was 35 yrs. ago. I still honor it.

Yes, I thought it was quite funny for me to post that......as I generally don't drink!!! and if I do have a "sip" of something, I DON'T DRIVE!!! It wrecks too many families if something happens, not worth it
You all stay safe out there!!!
