I cannot believe she is old enough for prom. I remember her first day at kindergarten. We went and the first dress she put on was the one! I honestly have not see her so happy. Then we went to meet with my mom afterwards and she sells jewelry again the first necklace she put on was so perfect for her. Oh and we bought the shoes yesterday. I told her that we will find a dress to match them and we did. I am so proud of her and how much she has grown. She looks so beautiful the dress fit like it was made for her!! Even better her dad loved it so it was an all around winner!

I have done the prom shopping and this year we went in search of her wedding gown. She also loved the first dress she put on. Enjoy all of these happy times!! I am also grateful for the the great relationship I have with my daughters. Some mothers are no so lucky. Thanks for sharing since it brought back some happy memories. Hoping that her prom is one of her happiest days.

We used to make homecoming and prom dress shopping a family affair. Twice a year, my husband and Grandma would come with us. Sometimes my girls would try on 25 or more dresses. It was always a full day's affair and they got to be princesses for a day. My last daughter graduated a few years ago, and we miss those days. Enjoy!

We went wedding dress shopping today with my future DIL...I was sitting with her Mom. And....I managed to keep my mouth shut...unlike her Mom.

Oh how I know how you feel! I took my DD prom dress shopping yesterday too. I just couldn't believe she is going to the prom. We still need to get shoes and jewelry, maybe we will shop for those next weekend.

God bless you!!! I can fully relate to how difficult it is being an inlaw lately. Know she'll look beautiful.

Such good times. It's always fun to shop with daughters. I even love grocery shopping with my daughter. We always find fun. I know your babe will be so beautiful for prom. I hope she has a great time.
