we were touring Germany 26 yrs. ago & fell in love with the german people. Said when we haqd GC we wanted to be called Oma& Opa.Well, we got our 1st GD 24 yrs. ago & she got Oma right away but had trouble with Opa, it turned into Bump. We are known to all 20 GC as Oma & Bump. I mean everyone, friends etc. call us by that. Love it

We have our first gb due in December and I've been thinking about this. I always wanted to be Nana but my sister got to be a grandma first and she decided to be Nana...boo hiss. We'll just see what the little pumpkin calls us. I'll be checking back for more answers.

I always wanted to be Nana or Mimi. However....the grands just ended up calling us Grandma and Papaw. Which is fine with us. So your grands may choose themselves what to call you. LOL

We are Nana and Papa. Others are Grandma and Poppy. Greats are grandma and grandpa with their last name except for 1 great. The girls call her great great great grandma. I bet she loves that!
