    Back in the day We were the Glass Capital-LibbyOwens etc.. not much glass manufactoring any more But WE are still famous for Jamie Farr and Tony Packo"s and the MudHens and Danny Thomas now we're the city with the highest un-employment in Ohio according to tonites 6-o'clock news :cry:

    Rt 66, the Mother Road, Onion fried hambugers. The motel scene from Rainman filmed here. Tom Cruze and Dustin Hoffman in town for a while with the film crew. And wouldn't you know it...they later tore down the motel where it was filmed. Go figure!

    ummm.....horse manure in the road?.....we live in an area that is mostly Amish and "road apples" is the norm. In fact, it's the one way my grandkids know they are close to gma's house....they see the roadapples!

    Notre Dame University. Go Irish. Actually Notre Dame is a city of its own, but South Bend and Mishawaka (my city) is right next door.
