The discussion about threading needles reminded me of a funny situation I had several years ago. I was teaching a class on Huck Embroidery. Most of the ladies were in their 60's, 70's. Two young girls (about 16-17) came who were the granddaughters of one of the ladies. These girls had never done any type of sewing. I was showing them how to thread the needles. Wet it, pinch it and put it through the eye. One of the girls said "You put the thread in your mouth and then sew with it, how disgusting!" Her Grandma replied, "You don't feel that way when you are swaping spit with your boyfriend." Needless to say, we all had a hard time to keep from laughing.

I've always been a fan of huck embroidery. So pretty and precise. Funny the young ones had issues with wetting the thread! Their mamas should divulge all the gross things they crammed in their mouths as babies! I know my kids kept me on my toes. Ick! LOL!

That is so funny. I love the embroidery. I had a friend who did that.
