Hi and greetings from the Outer Banks of North Carolina where I moved 2 years ago from my home in Virginia Beach, VA. I am a struggling beginner quilter, with a stash of fabric that may dryrot before I actually complete a quilt! I would love to find a simple pattern that shows a lot of the fabric design, but not just plain 12x12 squares! 8) If you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate them. I have already been inspired by the beautiful quilts that are posted online. Keep up the beautiful work!

THANK you! It does look simple and shows a lot of fabric. New website for me, too!

Hi & Welcome from PA. We won't help your fabric addiction, but you'll find a lot of fellow fabric collectors. So, we'll probably make it worse

Welcome from Illinois. We love the North Carolina coast...lucky you! I think Snowball is a very easy block that shows lots of fabric. You can make an entire quilt from it or alternate with a number of other blocks. It looks great alternated with a simple nine patch block...the corners of the snowball creating a nice diagonal movement.
