Good Morning, Everyone!
I have been reading this site for about a week and I'm happy to be a part of your community. I live on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, on a peninsula that some people don't even realize exists. The area is extremely rural and for the most part, I have to travel about an hour for shopping...that puts it in perspective for most people! I have been sewing most of my life; my father taught me on a treadle machine...my aunt helped me perfect the craft as a teen...and I took my first quilting class around 1977. I still hate choosing fabric but I love producing, especially quilts. I hope to add something small to this group. Thank you.

Welcome from Gloucester Va, across the bay! We live in an area like yours, and I don't miss the stores at all. But I do miss DSL and fabric stores! Oh well, dial up and online will suffice. You will love it here, very addicting though.

Welcome.. I am like you, very rural... I live in South Dakota. I live about 30 minutes away from groceries, but hours away from any other shopping. I love the internet, hehehhee... I love this forum, everyone is so willing to help, and give you praise. Welcome and hope to talk to you soon..
