Attaching cording to leader cloth??

Attaching cording to leader cloth??
I have the start right leader cloth from Grace Co. and would like to add 1" cording to the top leader. How is this done, i.e. sewing the leader cloth around the cording or is there a secret way to get it on? Help.

May I ask why you want to attach cording to your leaders? I have a long arm and cannot think of a reason why you would want to do this.
