Would you mind telling us what kind of fabric you used for the tote?
    Thanks!

Bev, I just used heavier-feeling cotton...seemed to work really well & feels sturdy. I also used pellon decobond for interfacing, works really well in any & all purses I make, so should hold up well with this. I usually make my purses able to be washed, so should be able to do the same with this if I need to. I just smooth out & air dry & they look like new again. Hoping this will be the same. You could also use home dec fabric for this tote as long as it's not really heavy. I also made a fabric covered insert for the inside bottom (actually cut up an old cutting mat) & I do recommend anyone making anything like this to make one. I almost always make it for my purses & totes too. Just like the stability.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Do you know whether Pellon Decobond is lighter in weight than Timex or Peltex, which were mentioned in the pattern? I've not used any of these.

I've downloaded these instructions but haven't made the bag yet. It's on my to do list. Did you make it; if so was it easy?

Thanks for the link and alternate ideas to make this bag. Have a question though. Since I'm not a big fan of open top bags, how easy would it be to add a flap? Thanks

I'm sorry, but I have only used the decobond, so I don't know.

Yes, it would be pretty easy to add a flap.
