The Finishing Stitch is having an inventory sale beginning December 23 thru Dec 31. All regular priced bolt cut fabric (1 yard minimum) will be 40% off. All Christmas and Fall Fabric will be 50% off. Other items in the store will be on sale. They have a great selection of fabric and patterns.

What are their prices normally like? Are they typically a 12$ per yard type of store or more like a 8-9$ yard place? I'll be sort of in that area today and might stop by. Thanks for the tip!

Most fabric is in the 10 to 12 dollar range.

If I get over that way today, I'll let you know how I make out. This might be just the pick me up I need today! Are there any other places in the area of Littlestown/Gettysburg that you know of? I know there's one shop that has a lot of civil war era fabrics in the Fairfield area. I might stop in there too.

I think that's it for that area. That's all I know of anyway. There is a shop on Main St in Thurmont that has cottons but they are not quilt shop quality. But... she was selling them for $2.50/yd a few months ago. Not sure what the price is now. She is Heart in/and Hand. Pam normally does home dec but has a wall of cottons too. She has odd hours and is not open on Sat. Sometimes it's hard to find her in. If you call her, the # is on the window, she will let you know when she can be there. I keep telling her she needs to hire me but she doesn't see it that way.lol She also waitresses at Mountaingate restaurant.

I really wish I was there! Too funny since that's where my husband was raised!! I have NEVER in all of my 20 years being married to him seen anyone mention Littlestown, PA! Hopefully my MIL gets out there to shop!

I went there today. The new owner was very nice. When I told her I wasn't from the area and wouldn't be able to get back for the sale, she let me have the sales price today! Wasn't that sweet? Lovely shop, quality fabric and excellent customer service!
