    Default My question answered !

I posted a question on how to join pieces of batting together to make a piece larger. I decided to try Bing to see if there was anything on there that would direct me on how to do it. Well they have lots of links but I'm sending just one in case anyone else isn't sure how to do this.

Thanks for sharing, I must get some of this, I really needed some yesterday for some wall hangings I am working on. Do you know if is sold in stores or do you have to order online?

I have always zigzaged mine together after cutting them straight with ruler and rotary cutter. Haven't had any problems - quilting or washing.

You can buy it at JoAnns, but remember, you can only use it on batting you can press. Ironing polyester batting causes it to melt.

All the fusible strips are just the light weight fusible interfacing which can be purchased by the yard. At my LQS, you can purchase 5 yards for $5. It is either 60 pr 72" wide. I just fold as well as possible, and cut my strips, and pin the cut edge for the next time you need to cut. I use a pressing cloth (just a long strip of muslin). I use a hot iron but not at the hotest setting. A lot cheaper than the packaged item list in an earlier post and it works as well.

I used a pressing sheet and was able to fuse polyester batting with no problem.

Hey Roberta, I watched the video and she states to cover with a pressing cloth but I've never had to do that in the past. I also use a very hot iron too.
