As most of you know my SON IN LAW is currently serving in Afghanistan. The Iowa RED BULLS have lost 2 soldiers this week. I have heard of quilts of valor but had no idea what to do until My daughter forwarded this on to me. How many of you can help out with this one.

This is a great project. My quilting group has been busy making stars for it. I know a lot of others doing the same. Makes me feel good to be able to help.

Our sewing group is also working on some. :-D

Received a card from Moda yesterday saying they received the blocks I sent them. Also included was a surprise pkg of 40 2" squares.

Please say "thank you" to your son from me. I have participated in this Moda endeavor. Thank you for sharing.

My daughter and I sent ours in over a month ago when we first read about it here. Great project.

I have nineteen ready to be mailed. They are from family members and friends.
