How would you insulate the floor? I'm considering some low-cut carpet with a pad. Would that be insulating it? We don't have a long winter down here, so I probably won't do any more than that. They will cut an opening to fit my air conditioner and I'll use electric heat during the winter.

If anyone has done this and has some suggestions about things to do or not to do, please help me out! The building has a 50 yr warrenty on it, LOL, so it will be around longer that me!

I will put a phone out there (I can do that!), but I don't watch the TV where I quilt now and I can come in the house if I want to use the computer...although I do have a router. I wonder if it would work beyond the house? Interesting thought, but I'll get more quilting done without it so handy. And I need to come into the house now and then, because DH might miss me??

That is so awesome! I will live vicariously through you until I can my own sewing room. Until then, the dining room table is my friend and will remain a mess.

In addition to your flooring, you need to put it on concrete to prevent termites.

    Hi Sylvia,
Your Quilt Shed will be such an awesome place for you. With regards to heating, you might want to check into seeing about insulation the floor underneath. They have such great new products out now. They also have flooring that has heat ducting built into it. Good luck with your shed, please share pictures with us, lots of pictures.
    Have a Great Quilty Day!
