I worked with my mom as a youngster..went away to college, married a United Methodist pastor and got involved with several church quiilting groups on a part time basis. I taught school for 34 years, retiring at age 61 and finally able to spend time quilting.

I am 71 and just finished 3 quilts. I have sewed my whole life ( it seems like) Just wanted to do what I had watched my grandmother do when I was a little girl

Have sewn all my life but didn't start quilting till I was about 62. I'll be 73 in October.

I took my first class at age 59+. Had the hardest time sewing that little scant 1/4 seam and cutting was a nightmare. I could not cut a straight line for anything. I was embarrassed about it. But I hung in there when others quit and now I can do it all.

I started quilting at age 65. I didn't know anything about
a 1/4 inch seam. I signed up for a 101 quilt class and felt
over whelmed. After I came home to total quietness, every thing started coming together. My first quilt is being quilted by Charisma, and it is a gift for my DH.
