Yes, I have started a wall hanging for my daughter. she loves earth tones. I am experimenting with tube blocks. As in, sew a tube and cut it... then place pieces into a block. I am having fun.

Yes, I've had enough snow, but I never get bored and I do welcome the extra time to quilt. As a hiker also, I miss getting out in the woods for now. Haven't tried snow-shoeing yet, but I'm thinking about it!

Amen to that! Having been a nurse, I seldom had any days I didn't have to get to work somehow! I used to chuckle when the news would tell us, "If you don't have to go somewhere, stay off the roads." Yeah, like I could. lol

No! I do not welcome being snowed in! I hate the stuff! I quilt even when it's in the 60's,70's,80's........

Here in central PA along the Route 80 corridor we have been having showers of snow each day - just enough to cover the grungy snow from the day before. I'm taking the time to relax, finish a Quilts for Kids, read, go through some fabric. No kids to worry about so this is a good time for me. I am, however, looking forward to the first crocus.

Sadly, when I'm snowed in I feel almost imprisoned and I get depressed. Can't focus on sewing, reading, watching TV. So I sleep as much as possible. As a chronic insomniac that is not necessarily a bad thing.

I also couldn't use my sewing machine or iron and I don't currently have a handquilting project ready to work on. I just finished a bed size quilts that will be raffled off to benefit our local Linus Chapter last week.
