I have one about half done. 15 of 30 blocks and have been wondering also how to quilt it. Keep us posted on your choice.

I have been working on one here and there using the Quilt Patti's.

I am SO far from quilting it I haven't even thought about that, but I'm definitely intersted on what ideas you come up with.

I was originally thinking of quilting a simple outline of a flower in each hexagon... after making a few of the blocks and seeing how many that really is  I am now rethinking this idea LOL

How about outline quilting 1/4 " apart the seam line in each hexagon? Or, if this seems to be to much, outlining every flower and the middle hexagon?
Several years ago I saw an antique Flowergarden quilt with hexagons 1 inch in diameter and it was quilted that way. Wonderful.

I hand quilted around each hexigon on both of the quilts I made. Loved how they looked but it was a lot of work. I think on the next one I make I want to make the quilting to look more like flower petals.

I did one and simply tied it with the knots on the front and the strings in back. I was using the small hexagons, and had the same dilemma. "Quilt as desired" are my three least favorite words.

Hand quilt each petal. My sister still uses the one I made for her 20 years ago.
