    Default Anybody have any ideas?

I have to make a real tree camo quilt for my brother. I have the camo and I also gave the deep rust, the deep green, the gold and brown that matches the colors in the camo.
Thing is, he wants deer as well. I have five panels; a 18x20, and four 12x12s. I need a good pattern that will showcase the deer, but also show a quilt pattern.
I was kind of thinking I might do a Log Cabin, with a bit if a twist sort of like the one below, but but the big panel in the center and the smaller ones in each corner.
What do you think? Any better ideas?
This will be a queen sized quilt.
    Thanks.

How about an Attic Window. Then it looks like you're looking out a window at the deer. You could make it look like one large wind or several small ones. I did an image search on Google. Attic window quilts.

I'm sorry, I have no ideas for you, so I'm no help but I really like this little quilt! Love the quilting, I'm not sure I would have thought of circles, bit they work!

I just did a deer panel (4 deer, 1 bear, 1 duck, 1 etc). The first thing I had. To do was make them. All the. Same size.18x20 could be 24x24. That is divisible by 2. You could use that in the center and the other 4 blocks on each corner. I used flying geese and bear paws. I would take a picture but it is at the LA. I forgot to say that I bordered the block with black and then cut it down to the proper size. Good luck. With your pattern.

I made one with a deer panel several years ago. sold it at the quilt show. I added a wide border of fall colored leaves followed by several different colored borders. It was beautiful. I like the idea of the log cabins too. You might arrange the blocks to border a panel or do some applique in the blocks.

Go to Yahoo and type in Panel quilts with deer on them

The pictures are awesome and have many great ideas. Maybe one of them will be the one you want.

This webpage has several nice quilts made with panels containing deer.
