I love finding wool clothes to take apart. Unfortunately in this town (Portland, OR) I am not the only one doing this so have a lot of competition at the thrift stores. Sometimes I find stuff on craigslist but not often. Right now I have quite a stash to overdye so I'm happy for a while. HA - never enough wool or fabric.
Don't know that I'll ever get there, but I did sign up for their newsletter.

You should make a road trip up to Des Moines, Washington. Carriage Country Quilts is heavy into wool! And they are an awesome store.

Sew Cornie - I absolutely love the wool stockings you made - so forgive me if these questions were already answered previoulsy - What pattern did you use for these? Were they from a book? I would love to make these for my DB's family. Please let me know if you have any information still available for them. Awesome job!!!!

Beautiful quilt. The pattern looks a lot like my West of Baltimore that I'm working on now (not wool). Name of pattern?

I am going to post some pictures of some of my latest blocks from the wool project: "It's A Wonderful World" a wool sampler. Can't wait until the sun comes up!

Wahoo, I got my pattern All Through the Night today. It looks like fun. I do need to alternated between it and a some red work blocks I've been working on.
Did you use wool as the backing?
