Red face Which Batting do you use in a wall hanging?

I am making my first wall hanging for my sewing room. The finished size will be 30" x 30".

I have read in a quilt magazine that needled batting with scrim will help a wall hanging keep its shape and avoid stretching over time as it hangs.

Which batting do you find works best in the wall hangings you have made? Thanks bunches for your advice.

I use Dream Cotton Request in my wall hangings because it's thin and the quilts always lay flat which I like for a wall hanging.

Warm & Natural is a needled batting with a scrim. I've used it before for small hangings. How far apart will your quilting be? You need to look at the package the batting comes in to see the max distance between quilting lines. If you are thinking of really minimal quilting, you might want to use a couple layers of felt.

Or try some fusible batting. It seems to make the wallhangings a bit stiffer and they hang nicely then.

I use Warm and Natural for everything. Never had a problem. I love that stuff.
