    Default Butterfly Blossoms quilt pattern

I have seen this pattern on hancocks-paducah.com and it looks like it would be fairly easy to use. My question is would you make it ALL 2 1/2" squares and 2 7/8" HST then put them together in rows? I think it would be pretty with bright colors, maybe even a scrappy!

It is a Cozy Quilt Design and they have the pattern (Butterfly Blooms) on sale. I haven't made one so I have no suggestions.

No, I think it would be easier to do blocks. Rows would have too many intersections that might not match. Oops sorry looked at the pattern again. If you were careful with your measurements, I think it would actually be better treating it as a log cabin.

I think I would construct blocks first. Too many small rows wouldn't be as accurate in the end, I think. It would also be harder to construct, because, as GingerK said, you'd have too many seams which would not be interlocking that way.

I have the pattern, looking at it now. Directions say to make the blocks then turn them different directions till have layout you like then sew in rows. Made with 2 1/2 inch strips.
