How about this. Make a quilt using your Christmas Fabric. some child at your neighborhood elementary school would be glad to recieve a quilt for Christmas. Ask the principal who is the outstanding student or who is the worst student and make the quilt for that person. since it is a child maybe your would end up with more than one quilt. and you would make some child happy.

That sounds like a nice idea making a quilt for a child especially a child who does not get recognition.

I'm glad you like the idea, We have a whole 12 months, maybe there is more than one chile in your neighborhood school. And you have made a community connection with your school.

Well, let's get started. My goal is to use up my Christmas fabric stash. I don't care for rules I just want motivation to get projects done. I have created a thread in the picture section entitled "Christmas Project a Month for 2011" to post our pictures. I thought we start on January 1st and on the 24th of every month is the due date. That way we will get through the year, keeping with the age old tradition of finishing at the last moment. If anyone wants to propose a project we can all do, I think that would be great fun and you can decide to participate if you desire or keep on with your own project. Did I forget anything? LMK. Happy New Year to All.

I am SO in for this! I didn't get hardly any of what I wanted done for Christmas gifts this year and hated the stress from worrying about it. Just think....if we do just ONE thing each month....that's 12 gifts/projects done with NO Holiday Rush stress! Be sure and post your pictures here:

I wish a tutorial on the Dresden Christmas tree skirt would be our first project. I am so excited about doing that!!! It was just gorgeous!
