A Christmas Quilt for a local school child: What a neat idea -- last winter during a rare cold snap here in the Northwest I took a number of hand knit caps to our local elementary school asking if there might be children who didn't have a cap during that cold weather .... the office personnel were extremely appreciative, commenting they definitely knew there were children who could use them. This would be a several month project for me but think I'll do it as one of the extra projects we all have on the back burner. Thanks.

OH my...I need to do this..I had planned that this year I was going to make 3-4 ornies a month! This will help me get organized!

I love to paper piece on Fundation interfacing, so I can make tiny 2-3": ornaments!

I also have a tree skirt and a couple of wall hangings to do!

Don't have a lot of Christmas fabric left, but please count me in! Sounds like great fun!

I think I'm planning on making some of the round napkins for my SIL. She always has about eight people for dinner so thought I'd start with those. They seem easy enough and should go pretty fast.

I have plenty of Christmas fabrics but probably still need to get more....

Yes I got that message too. You need to post a picture along with the thread under pictures. I didn't know that. I'll take a picture of my Christmas stash and post that and then people will be able to post pictures on that thread, keeping this thread for messages. Learn something new and it's only the 1st. Woo hoo.

Have you seen pics of ones that had baby rick-rack on the outer edge of the circle? When folded, it looks like garland on the tree. Really makes them gorgeous.

No, I haven't seen the ones with ric-rac but may try it. Did buy some fabric today to see how they work.

Are we all doing the same project or just working on items that we had planned before Christmas 2010 passed to fast???

Are we making gifts, or Holiday decor items? If making gifts you do not need Christmas/holiday fabric do you?
I made the tissue boxes for everyday use!
