I use a 1" paintbrush on my Bernina, and it works just fine!

I use canned air and have had no problems. I also use fine brushes.

Ditto. I have several small artists' brushes--not the expensive ones--and use them. They are great.froggyintexas

I use a small short bristle make-up brush while working on a project but for a good cleaning I use canned air

I use cheap paint brushes. The kind you use for oil painting. They are soft and have long handles and you can really get into the tight areas.

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. I feel more confident on what to use when keeping my machine clean.

I have a 730 also. You can use an artist's paintbrush or even a pipe cleaner. I took a class once where the teacher showed us how to use the pipe cleaner to catch the threads that might get stuck in the upper threading.

    Good luck.
