    Default Cosmetic Bag Tutorial

I have been trying to find a tutorial or pattern somewhere to make a cosmetic bag with a zipper top. But all I find have seams with raw edges inside....not what I am after. Does anyone know of a tutorial or pattern with no raw edges? I have tried with my own poor brain and can't seem to figure it out. Even the zipper bag on MSQC has raw edges inside. I know I can zig zag the edges, but I want a nicer finished look.

I figured out how to do it, but couldn't explain it for you. Sorry. If you can't find a tute, you can always finish your edges with a serger. you could also make it so that the seams are on the outside, as a design element.

I've made many like this. It's quick and easy.

when I make a pattern that has the raw edges on the inside, I just use matching lining fabric and bind the raw edges like you would do a quilt binding.

Go to Google and put in " Boxy Bag". It makes A really nice bag and can be made any size.. My DD and DGD love theirs.
