    Default Crayola Quilt

I am looking for a pattern called "Crayola Quilt". I made it once several years ago, but since then I have moved and the pattern has been miss placed. It isn't a quilt that you color or draw on, only thing that Makes it a Crayola Quilt is the colors used. Red, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Blue the basic crayola colors.
There is NO white material used at all. The blocks are simular to a log cabin design but without the small square in the center.
Reason I am wanting to make it again is my grandkids loved them, and since then there was a fire and they lost everything.

Thank you for any and all help.
    Bev.

I haven't seen anything like you described. I bought a magazine that had the pattern with pieces of color fabric shaped into crayons. Cute !!

If not, do a google image search on 'crayon quilt pattern'. I'm guessing that the quilt was probably called 'crayon' rather than 'crayola' which is a registered trademark.
Oh, and welcome to the board!!

Maybe this would help. The quilt I am looking for is like these blocks, only take 2 of these and make one block.
    http://www.quilterswarehouse.com/p-1...t-plushie.aspx
Half of the pieces in the block go left to right and the other half go up and down, in colors of red, blue, yellow, orange and green (no white in quilt). The name of quilt is "Crayola Quilt" Size of quilt is for child or wall hanging.
Maybe someone out there could make me a pattern and tell me how much material to buy for 1 quilt.
Thank you for any and all help.

Sounds similar to Bonnie Hunter's Crayon Box pattern. Go to her site www.quiltville.blogspot.ca and click on the Free Pattern tab at the top to see if it would work for you.

I ran across this quilt and think it's similar to the one you've described:

Now this is what my daughter said it looked like. I have it in my head a bit different, but I could be wrong. I picture it as 2 of these squares folded in a triangle and put together. With like stair steps joining it. This one also has 6 colors (an extra blue) where mine only had 5 colors. Now tell me...... How big are the squares and how much material is needed for the whole quilt? Will 1 yard of material do for backing? Oh and how wide and long are the strips cut? When I made it before I had 2 grand kids now I have 6 and a New first Great Grand child just 1 mo old named Leo, so I need to make 7 total. Even the 26 yr old grand daughter wants one.

Yes that is it. You sent me the measurements about a year go and I was so very glad to get them.
I moved again and ladies from church helped with packing. I still have things I can not find, WOW I hate moving!
So could you please send them to me again? Thank you for all your help.
