I guess there are all sorts of styles for crumbs, strips, etc. this is the video that I first saw. My crumbs go from 1" square to left over pieces, no restrictions. I just create. It is so relaxing, not having to follow any rules, color matching, etc. Just create.

I have been saying pieces of all the projects I have been doing for the past 20 years, extra blocks, sample blocks, strips, etc. I feel so creative doing this. Any body interested in doing a crumb block monthly exchange? I am doing 6" finished blocks. I feel so "green" too right now, keeping the scraps out of the landfill (like I could throw away fabric, duh).

I'm making a king-sized scrappy crazy crumb quilt now. It's Quilt-as-you-go so it's probably 80% done because of that. Yay!

But yes, I'm a crumb addict too. Those tiny pieces are so fun! I'd definately be up for a swap if you wanna organize one. It'd be fun to see everybody's style and fabrics.

I have INTENTIONS of doing one or several, unfortunately I don't think I'll live long enough to do the 15 already planned ones and have a ton more of fabrics to do more with. If you want some scraps, please PM me and I'll send them to you, just pay for postage.

Me too! Last weekend I decided to try a crumb block. I now have over 20 done (4.5in) and am totally addicted. They look wonderful, each block is unique, they're quick to make and don't cost me anything. Brilliant. Here are some pictures.

I do a lot of crumb quilting too! I must say though, I have to have a little control over the blocks.

Here are pictures of a crumb quilt I did last month...
I love that the blocks are broken up by plain ones, at that some of the 'plain' ones aren't plain, there embroidered! Really pretty!

I would do a crumb block of the month exchange! I bet you could get 12 members to participate without a problem.
