Okay, needing advice from long arm quilters with computerized quilting. I down loaded some patterns from two different on-line vendors. Most are working out fine but I have one that is not. It has several jumps in it and some are clear across the pattern causing thread to stretch and sometimes break. My question, do any of you have favorite companies that you us, unfavorable ones to stay away from? Thanks in advance?

not sure what you mean. Is it the printing of the patterns that isn't right?

No, the pattern is down loaded to a zip drive and loaded in Pro stitcher for the computer to tell the machine how to sew.

I would contact the vendor of the problem file. I've had that happen with embroidery files from a couple of digitizers and they always fixed the issue.

Some designs do require jump stitches, but if your thread is breaking perhaps your tensions are a bit tight, or the machine may be moving too fast. Will send you a pm.

I would assume where ever you have a jump, that's the time to tie off before you jump to the next section. At least that's what I do, no matter how long or short the distance is between the last stitch and the jump stitch.

I figured out how to do this today, sooo much better. It seems with every quilt, I learn something different!

I can set my LA machine to stop with a larger jump so I can tie it off before continuing. Maybe your machine has a similar feature?
