I have been thinking about buying one. I don't want a Go or such with all the templates. I want to know how they work and if they are worth the price they want for them. How accurate are they?

I am only aware of industrial laser fabric cutters, which likely cost thousands of dollars. might you actually be referring to the digital cutters which use a very small blade such as the Silhouette Cameo, Brother Scan & Cut, etc.?

Last I looked they were for more industrial uses due to the size and expense. But, things do change.
I'm interested in the difference between the Sillhouette Cameo 2 vs the different Cricut's that use the computer.

Cheapest laser cutter I can find doing an online search was listed at about $7500 back in 2008. They are marketed primarily to sign makers. I'm guessing that laser is not what the OP really means. Lasers powerful enough to cut are extremely expensive.

They might be the same as the ones advertised in woodworking magazines. I've seen them as low as $3,500. You would need to do some research to see if they would work for fabric.
