Default Does anyone have a pattern for a 10 inch house block?

    Hi Everyone,

I've been googling for days now and I can't seem to find what I need. I'm making a quilt and want to put a 10 inch block of a house in each corner to represent the four neighbors. I can find a pattern for a 12 inch and an 8 inch finished block, but I need a 10 inch.

I finally thought " Hey, ask my great quilting board peers for help" So here I am, asking for your extensive knowledge and assistance.

    Kookie

One way would be to copy the original ('finished' size pieces, without 1/4" seam allowances) at 84%, then add your new 1/4" seam allowances.

12" x .84 = 10.08" That tiny fraction shouldn't make any noticeable difference, unless the block has many, many pieces.

Thank you Neesie! I knew there was a way to do this, but I couldn't wrap my brain around it. Maybe its the humid heat we're having right now

    Thanks again!

You're very welcome! I understand, perfectly! Whenever there's rain in the forecast (low barometric pressure), I swear my sinuses swell and press upon my brain. When that happens, don't even ask me to add 2 + 2. Seriously! LOL

Here's one for a 10" farmhouse, but it's paper pieced:

Or make the 8" block and frame it! ((or use Nessie's idea)) - - -

I just finished a quilt with twelve 10" houses that have a 6" block (each different) for the side of the house. PM me if you're interested.
