I like the muslin backs, but haven't used it due to the price and also the prints on the back do look nice.

I love good quality muslin, grew up with muslin quilt backs. I"m a hand quilter who likes to see the stitching on the back. Also like to use muslin for piecing scrap quilts.

You bet! Except for really, really, really, special quilts (weddings, anniversaries, etc) The more its washed, the better it feels. Additionally, shows off quilting (like a reversible or whole cloth quilt) AND like you said, with the price of cotton......

I really like to use muslin since I love the way it shows the quilting on the back of the quilt. And now it comes in not just the natural, bleached and teadyed, it also comes in florals and other tone on tone "prints". So very soft on the back of a quilt.

I use muslin for the back of some of my quilts. I tye dye it to go with the color of the quilt. I wait till Hobby Lobby has the 40% off coupon and then I buy the whole bolt.

I haved used it for wallhangings, as it won't be seen anyway. However, for a quilt that will be used on a lap, bed or throw, I like it to be more decorative on the back. IMHO. :-)

I use white chiffon on most of my quilts and sometimes the quilted back looks more beautiful than the front!

I use muslin, but the better quality. I buy it by the bolt with a coupon from Joann's and then I have lots for several quilts. I also like the wide width so I don't have seams. You can dye it if you don't want white or cream..... Just set the dye when finished. I also use it in the front for applique because it has a nice dense weave. It wears well for me!

Yes, I've used it before, that's all I ever used when I first started quilting
