Default Does such a pattern exist?

Someone has given me some beautiful African fabrics which were made into a bed runner by young girls in Malawi and asked for these to be be made into a bed quilt. She has indicated she would like them made into a design a bit like a block of cards block which looks like four cards in the square. I'm wondering if there is a block out there which has more 'cards' in the one block. Thank you (hope this post makes sense!)

Do you mean the "Card Trick" block pattern?

Are you asking about the *card trick* block? That is the only one that I know that looks like 4 cards in one block-I have seen them put together with 4 blocks (4-patch) so, 16 cards in a block

The card trick and 8 card design is a typical Japanese crest design. You might check a book of crest designs for other versions of the care design

That 8 card design looks interesting...but would really have to plan the fabrics carefully.......might try ONE.
