Has anyone used fabric paint to paint a kids feet/hands to put on fabric?
I want to put feet/handprints on a quilt for my grandson, but wonder if it is safe? Anyone know?
I have Dye-na-flow it does say non-toxic but it does not say anything about using it this way.

Acrylic for fabric. Paint it on his hands, blot it a little, then have him put his hands down on the fabric. We used this same idea for Fathers Day by painting a brick, then the handprint, then the year on the reverse side.

My kids are grown now, but when they were little, we had to use a paint medium mixed with the paint when using on fabric. Maybe paint has improved by now, but check to make sure. You would not want to go to all that work and it washes out or flakes off. Items made with your kid's hand and foot prints are so cute! And a great keepsake!

I have not used it for that, but I have been thinking of using paint to create a sunset look for a sky. I think I will practice first. Also, I have heard it looks different, lighter?, when dry. Best of luck, it sounds like a fun family project. Those little feet and hands grow up too quickly.

I only know that fabric paint is softer for use on fabrics. i did painting on t-shirts with it. do more searching for using on hands and feet. I'm sure there are lots of paints out there for that too.

You can get a fabric Edmund to use with acrylic. When I took classes they used hat when working with fabric

I don't know anything about fabric paint, sorry. My first thought was to trace his hands on paper, then copy that onto fabric for applique.

yep just blot with a paper towel and wash off as soon as you're finished.
