Default Fav interfacing for the Professional Tote?

The pattern calls for Decor Bond Heavy weight, just curious what others may have substituted and liked.

I haven't made that particular pattern, but I have used headliner fabric in other bags I've made and have been pleased. The headliner is flexible but sturdy enough to stand up on its own, and quilts up nicely.

I used what they recommended but it was hard to sew. I will use something softer for the next one.

I've made 5 and by far my favorite is Soft And Stable. It is a foam with fabric on both sides. Very lightweight but gives the bag great structure. I use it on the outside pieces only (baste to the outside fabric) For the inside I use the recommended interfacings

Great info! I have 1 package of the Soft & Stable and I bought some Decor Bond. I appreciate you advice and for sharing your expertise. I will do what you do!
