Default On the fence with new machine - please help me decide!

    Hi everyone,
I have a Janome DC 3050 which I love. It does just what I need for right now. In another year, we will be snowbirds. I really want to have a machine in both places. There are a few 3050s still on the market, on Amazon for $449 and free shipping. (It is discontinued). The machines that have taken its place are the 2011, 2012. 2013, and 2014. Each model, released the year of its name, has a different color and a slighter different shape but is the same exact machine other than looks. My 3050 has a rounded throat area and a soft purple accent. For $50 more, I can get the turquoise 2013 with the hard case, walking foot, 1/4 inch foot included plus some other things.
Now, this is a no brainer, probably. I seem to be hung up on the 'looks' of the 3050 but love the thought of having the extras with the 2013, no carrying feet back and forth between states, accidentally leaving them hundreds of miles away etc.
Have I talked myself into this yet? (Yes, I do like turquoise so would pass on this year's navy or purple model).
What do you think? Other than that I am overthinking this....please be kind.
    Thanks in advance -
DH sent me here since he says he can't help me make this decision,

Since the color/style/features of the machines are essentially the same, and you like the newer machine, and for only $50 more you get some extra attachments, then yes, I'd say this was a no-brainer - go for it!!

The add ons are a big plus, and you will have 2 different machines for 2 different areas of the country and 2 different times of the year. Win, win!

Yup, definitely a no brainer. Thanks for helping me out. I'll order it tomorrow after I put in a hard day's work..wink, wink. We'll be between Florida and New England. The turquoise machine will fit right in in Florida! DH has offered to carry it on for me when I want to get it down there. I think he's just relieved I'm finally going to do this. I've been talking about it for a year.
    Have a good one,

You've made a good decision! Once you get your machine to Florida you won't have to worry about what you need to take for sewing. You will have everything you need right there. Enjoy your new lifestyle. You have earned it!
