    There may be a lot of waste but my daughter had a stroke and she can't do the cutting but has mastered her machine. I think she can do this.

    Look up Carmen Geddes at Tensisters.com.
    She has grid paper that you iron on your squares, fold and sew. I just took a class from her at the HMQS in Utah and it was fun and easy. 2 things I enjoy!

    I agree it's fast HOWEVER; as others have pointed out, there's a lot of thickness where the multiple layers of fabric are and the folded sewing line may leave a bumpy area to quilt over. Just something to keep in mind.
