    Thumbs up

I also love to use freezer paper. Have used it for appliques lots of time. Right now I am using it, 2 layer ironed together, cut into a shape, trace around shape and then I am 'big stitch' quilting that shape.

I love freezer paper, too! Add a few cookie cutters for tracing and that's really fun, as well.

I will have to try the thicker method with freezer paper. I have been using fusible interfacing cut 1/4" smaller then I take and thread around (like making a yo yo) and gently pull. When it stops around the edge, I press. Makes much smoother edges. The freezer paper would be a lot more cost effective than using interfacing.
