I have a coffee pot . . . it's a must. Would like to have a water cooler. Restroom is around the corner. Laundry room is between my two sewing rooms. Would love to have TV, but settle for Netflix on the internet. Music?? Must have! I'm ADD, the more I can have close at hand, the less distracted I get. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!! LOL!

I have been toying with the idea of putting a mini fridge in my sewing room. Not sure if I want to take up fabric space for it though.
I don't have either one. I set a timer in the kitchen for 2 hours and when it goes off I then I go in there to reset it and get me a snack. I learned this method the hard way. I was working on a quilt I really liked and when my mom said I should get up and move around,I told her I was fine, didn't need to get up. All she said was you'll learn and shake her head.I ended up sewing for 7 hours with 1 bathroom break. But the next morning I could barely get out of bed. My back felt like 10 semi-trucks had run over me. I definately learned the hard way. I started learning the easy way-taking my mom's advice!

I have to get up ever so often. My behind get paralized from sitting too long.

Neither of those for me. I do have a TV in my sewing room and am thinking of getting a CD player for it so that I can watch my quilting CDs.

The day I sewed all day without a break I felt fine, til the next day. For all the new quilters out there, make sure you get up and take a break from sitting in one position. It doesn't have to be a set time. The main reason is to uncramp your bones and relax your muscles. Most of the quilting experts I've watched on tv have also said the same thing, get up and move around once in a while.
