    Default Garden Twist colors

I have yardage with navy roses on light blue background (very little background as roses are really close together). Any ideas for colors to use for the trellis. I have a mottled black with splotches (is that a word) of dark green & a medium green. Of course I'm second & third guessing my color choices. I really want to use the roses fabric (read I want this fabric gone. LOL)

What about white for the trellis? Seems to me black would make the quilt too dark. The light blue background would be the sky peeking through the roses.

I think it would be really nice to pick up more of that light blue that's in the background of the dark roses. If you could sneak some white or green (like leaves) into the pattern, those would enhance your color scheme, too, and keep the overall look from becoming too dark. Unless dark is what you're after, of course.

Thank you and you are all so right, those colors will be too dark. I was so focused on using colors I have. Guess I'll buy white on the other hand I do have a lot of ivory.

Take a few strips of the ivory and lay them around a square of the rose print. That will give you an idea on how it will look. The ivory would give the trellis an antique look, should go well with the roses. Lay out this combo and look at it from a distance or through your camera lens.
