This is very striking and beautiful. I use Quilter's Dream Poly because it quilts so well and defines the stitching nicely. It is also lighter to work with which saves my shoulders as I FMQ. My family appreciates this batting as it is lighter on the bed and will wash without shrinking. (Being lighter is important in the south but it is still comfy.) Many of the members of our quilt guild are moving to this batting for the same reasons. It also adheres to the fabric better and seems to eliminate some of the problems with the bunching and wrinkles. I have found that I use less spray when I sandwich my quilts now due to how the material and batting stay together so well. I usually make larger quilts so pinning them is a major factor. This seems to help so much better. Hope this information assists you in your project. By the way, I order it online at various sites. Just shop around!

The greens that were suggested with the pattern I felt were too dark. I wanted something a little more vibrant but, not to take away from the flowers. The book I have is Garden Twist Quilts from In The Beginning Fabrics.
I made a test pattern before I could start cutting my material. I had the material for almost 2 months and I just couldn't get the rotary cutter close to it. By taking my scraps and doing the test pattern for this quilt took away the jitters.
I used this test pattern to try many of the suggestions I have received here. I did 1 layer of W&N, 2 layers of W&N, the 80/20 and a poly blend. I lost the flowers with everything except 1 layer of W&N. My trellis had just a little too much poof and kind of exploded. So Thursday I will be pinning the W&N batting, the top and a cream colored backing together. I am hoping by Friday I can start top stitching the trellis. After it is complete I will post the photos to share.
Today I am going to make 2 pillows. I am still working on ideas for the curtains. It doesn't look like I will have enough material to make the wall hanging that is in the book. I am saving all of my scraps just in case :)

Beautiful quilt. Can't help on the batting though because I am so very new at quilting.

I love you quilt. I did one last yr and I am working on one now. I used W&N because it is the easiest to quilt on the machine. I sold the one I made last yr at the Senior Craf S. in F. W. Here is a picture for you to see. Mary L Booth

Your quilt is very pretty. I love the warmth of your colors.

Another one of my "favorites".... This is just beautiful, and is very nicely done. Hope you find what you need for batting "poof", this is one of the prettiest Garden Twists I have seen. Please show another photo when finished. :)

What ever you do DON'T use double warm and natural the quilt will weigh a ton and squish the person who sleeps under it. In 25 years of quilting I enjoy best the first quilts I made before I discovered warm and natural. I do use warm and natural when I send a quilt to the quilter with long arm machines.
