Got to play on my new (to me) 1908 Singer 66 treadle. I pieced a baby quilt top on it, the first thing I've made with it. Still getting the hang of treadling... but I love it!!

The snow in CT is gradually melting so we are down to a foot LOL! Temps going to be in the 50's later in the week - shorts weather! I am working on a quilt for my DD using a Squares upon Squares pattern from Quilter's Cache - she picked the fabrics so this is in tones of acid green and yellow, a swirly black and white and a blue/green toned batik with peace signs all over it! VERY challenging color palette but the blocks are coming out surprisingly well! Next project (in parallel with this one) will be 9 24" hexagonal blocks with variants of Baltimore Album patterns on each one to make up a 6 ft by 6 ft quilt.I need some hand sewing to do!

We actually hit almost 50 degrees yesterday!! That is almost unheard of for us and it was really hard to get in the sewing room knowing that it was that warm out in February. Hope you got lots done.

We're getting into the 70's here in the Florida Panhandle and it's about time. It's usually warmer much sooner - so much for global warming around here. I am working on a quilt with some new techniques that I learned in a Lisa Moore class and am putting the sashing on large Dresden Plate blocks. I found the Dresden Plates (hand pieced and baisted - ready for applique onto fabric )at a thrift store so instead of covering the center of the plates I just added a small round applique. The plates are made of real vintage feedsack but my circles are not so am sashing with some of my vintage feedsack and some new reproductions. Will call the quilt "Something Old, Something New".

back to work after a week of cruising the Caribbean. Made two flannel blankets yesterday for the twin grandsons, but today it's time to get some work done (right after I check in with all the quilters of course). http://www.quiltingboard.com/compose...opicnum=98983#

I clicked on the "quote reply" so you can see that I am replying to you. Welcome aboard from Wimberley, Tx. and even here in Tx we were excited when we woke up yesterday and saw 28 degrees instead of 16 degrees. Am working on computer stuff today . Would much rather be sewing.
