    Default grandsons quilt for Christmas

Am making a quilt for my 6'6" grandson for Christmas and he requested a flannel back because he says its so cozy. Went to Joannes on Wed for their doorbuster sale and got 16 1/2 yards of flannel for $35.00 saved almost $100.00 Woo Hoo, Im so happy

I'm pretty sure that you probably know that various flannels shrink, and that sometimes the shrinkage is pretty extensive. I'd wash and dry the material to be sure that the quilt and its blocks will all be the size that you intend.

That is a great buy. For a few years now Joann's has put their flannels on sale for incredible low prices. One year they had it for $1.00 a yard - there were so many shop owners there buying so much because it was cheaper than what they could buy. I got 28 yards total and each piece was great. I always buy an extra 1/4 yard when I buy flannel because it does shrink.
