Default Has anyone here done Tula Pink's Butterfly quilt?

I recently saw Tula Pink's the Butterfly quilt in the most recent issue of The Quilt Sampler magazine. I immediately did some research online about what the quilt was all about. I really love it! I ended up ordering the kit last night and it has been shipped out today! I don't think it will be done quickly so I'll take my time.

I was wondering if anyone else is working on that quilt?

Someone just posted about that recently, and was looking for someone to quilt along with, IIRC. The thread is probably only back a page or two.

I ordered the kit from CrimsonTate online only two days ago and the kit arrived today!! I was wondering how much I'd like the fabrics up close and I do like them VERY much. The colors are very pretty. Sorry this picture is so small. But you get the idea.

The booklet of the instructions for the blocks looks very clear. Has colored photos for every blocks. I think the only thing this quilt will take a lot of is time.

As the saying goes...how to do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!! So I've taken the first bite into this beautiful quilt. I cut out all the fabrics for the "Floating Crosses". Here is the very first one done. I babysit my adorable 10 week old Granddaughter Mon-Fri while my sweet son and wonderful wife are at work. I have decided this quilt will be for HER. God willing!! A few months ago I had to somehow make room in my craft studio for her crib and changing table etc. It works! I still have my space to cut out, sew and press fabrics.
