My DH and I are both retired so have lots of time for my sewing. On Monday's make my self do all the laundry (not much anymore), run the dust mop on the floors (all wood) and hit the high spots on dust. Bed gets made first thing every morning and dishes get put in dishwasher after every meal, when it's full we run it. If we are expecting company will do a deep clean but only if I find it necessary.
Life is to short to worry about the small stuff and quilting is soooo much more fun.

And thanks a lot Michelle! I just had to go check it out too. And will be spending more time there and less time working on my projects.

I'm guessing most of us on here are quiltaholics! I'm afraid the cleaning takes a back burner when I'm in a quilting mood. Fortunately my husband is pretty tolerant

I keep a pretty clean house but lately I've been known to get up early, take something out of the freezers to defrost for dinner, sweep the floor and retire to my sewing room for most of the day. DH does the dinner dishes and vacuums the stairs for me. Laundry gets done when the basket is full. As I get older, I find that having a spotless house is not as important as doing what I enjoy ... sewing. :-)

Oh, y'all made me feel so much better...thank you. I'm trying to convince my husband that he and my son should go shopping at Costco tomorrow without me. We'd save money because he sticks to the list, and I get a quiet house to sew in! I call that a win/win.
