    Default help with Accuquilt GoBig

I've had my GoBig for 4 yrs and love it although have mostly used it to cut binding. Finally have enough dies so I can really cut about any design I'm likely to do. But...recently it has stopped cutting! It turns on (green light) and when I go to put in a die, it turns off! No blue or red lights, no flashing lights--it just turns off. I can unplug at the machine and sometimes when I plug back in it will work, about half the time.

Someone told me about a "hard reset" and I tried that but still not working.

    Any ideas?? Thanks!

Is there a troubleshooting section in your owner's manual?

I only have a Go Baby, so that's the extent of my help. Sorry.

Sounds like it is time to call the company.

    Yes,
I would call the company and explain the problem. Perhaps they have run into this before.

Check the prong of the power cord that fits in the machine. Be sure it is pushed in. I think you hear a little snap.

Second suggestion is check the connection of the cord that goes in the power pack. Be sure it is tight.

Do you know someone that has a machine? Try their power cords to see if it fixes the issue. You may need a new power cord set.

There is a Accuquilt owners Facebook page. Lot of great tips and how to troubleshoot the die machines there. Others that have had the same problems will post the fix for it.

thanks all--I did send Accuquilt a help email message and they responded with the directions to do a "hard reset" that were more complete than what I found on the Accuquilt FB page. Will try that tomorrow morning and if it doesn't work they also informed me how to test the power cord and then if those are not the problem, how to return it to them for repair (although several people on the FB page said they basically replaced theirs). I love this die cutter--so accurate, so fast, and sure saves my Carpel tunnel and bad shoulder.

What was the outcome? Did hard reset work? If not, did the company help? I am having same issue. Light on but no go. I replaced the power supply but nothing changed. Could you share the directions you found for a hard reset?

I would contact Accuuilt now. The company is being sold. The policies may change in regard to replacements and such.
