Default Help with DM problem. Feed dogs

I have a Brother NX2000 DMS. I opened up the sewing area and cleaned out the threads and fuzz. Now my feed dogs are down and will not go up again.

Has anyone else had this problem? Were you able to fix it yourself or do I need to take my machine into the repair shop?

    Thank you for your help.

When this happens to me I just start to sew and they come back up! also move the wheel manually a few turns.

If you machine has a feed dog switch, try switching it on & off a few times. Sometimes mine will not sew immediately after I switch the feed dogs so I have to turn my wheel just a bit to get them to "click in".

sewingsuz may have it--I've found that after sewing with dogs down and switching the up/down feed dog switch, the dogs don't come back up until the stitching mechanism has cycled. The feed dogs move up/down, back/forth as they move the fabric.

Brought my machine in. It was in the car ready to drive 70 miles to the repair shop. Brought it in and tried your solutions and viola! It is working again. Thank you so very much for your help. Wish I could give all of you a hug. Yolanda
