Question Help in Identifying this block?

I have two old quilt tops (same pattern) that I am finishing for an RN
at he VA Hospital where I used to work.
She is in her 40's and they were done by her great-grandmother.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

I've never seen a block like this but it certainly is beautiful! Whoever pieced it did a great job!

I've never seen this block either, but I agree it is beautiful and beautifully pieced.

It's called Magnolia Blossom from the periodical called "Oklahoma Farmer Stockman" 9/15/1930 which had a column by the name of Good Cheer Quilt Patterns.

Sort of looks like "Castle Walls". Mine has an octagon in the middle. Found it on the internet several years ago.

When you finish the tops, please share some pix with us. I would love to see the whole quilt.

SuperJan strikes again! I've never seen that block before, it's beautiful. And Great-Grandma was working her scrap basket like a pro, lol!
